There is so much to see and do here.
The Lake District National Park covers over 880 square miles and is the largest in England with picturesque views and stunning spectacular scenery. The natural blend of mountains, lakes and rolling fells interspersed with quiet villages and busy market towns. There are plenty of local attractions around Bigland Hall Caravan Park, but it is still an ideal place for those who wish to just unwind. Being only 10 minutes from Lake Windermere and Fell Foot Park we are set in a perfect location for walking, sightseeing, trips to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Park.

This is will be our fourth year here as a seasonal tourer, we love it, it's so peaceful and set in lovely woodland. The wardens Karen and Mike are very friendly and helpful and the people are just great and we're never away lol

7 years ago I was looking for a static in the south lakes and looked at many sites and vans before coming across Bigland, the site instantly appealed as we didn’t want the usual facilities and such like just some peace and open space, Bigland has this without a doubt and with a good locals pub 10 minutes’ walk away it ticks all the boxes, not to mention being on the doorstep of many great walks. Chris and the team are always friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble, not your typical static site but one of the best!

We have owned a caravan on this amazing site for about four years and what a special place it is. In a peaceful woodland setting yet near to all the attractions South Lakes and beyond has to offer and it’s nice to see our grandchildren getting back to nature. The staff, Chris, Mike and Karen are more than welcoming and everyone is friendly. A perfect home from home!

We have been ‘Biglanders’ since 2013. We sat and had a list of 90 sites to work through and we whittled this list down to 9 sites. It was dreadful cold wet day when we drove up the M6…2 sites seen and already dismissed, we drove into Bigland and it looked a bit different but this lovely unique site had won us over. This peaceful place heals the soul…the wildlife here is amazing…birds, deer, foxes, hares, squirrels. With large private pitches, friendly neighbours, helpful onsite team, clean, tidy and well maintained facilities. We now own a second holiday home here that we bought for my husband’s parents and family to enjoy. We have evolved from a seasonal tourer to static to lodge and we will be here for a long time yet!

As first time lodge owners, we couldn't have chosen a better place to be! The park is set in beautiful woodland surroundings and is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful escape. The park is immaculately maintained and an absolute credit to the owners and managers. Day to day running of the park is low-key, very professional and personal; nothing is too much trouble. A great location, only 10 minutes from Windermere and perfectly positioned to explore the South Lakes!
